SprintText for Mac
The same shortcuts, everywhere on your Mac.
A keyboard extension can only help inside a keyboard. On the Mac, SprintText works at the system level instead: your triggers expand in Mail, Slack, your editor, a terminal, a browser field — anywhere you can type.
The command palette

The Mac app adds a palette over whatever you are working in: your shortcut library, plus the AI actions, applied to the text you have selected.

- System-wide expansion. Triggers fire in any app that takes text, using the same library as your iPhone.
- One palette, two kinds of thing. Shortcuts to insert, and AI actions to apply. Both reachable from the same keystroke.
- Keyboard-first. The palette is designed to be opened, driven and dismissed without your hands leaving the keyboard.
- The same Brain. With sync on, what you taught SprintText on your phone is what it knows on your Mac.

iOS gives you a keyboard slot
On iPhone and iPad, a third-party keyboard is the only way in. That is a good fit: it puts shortcuts, the suggestion bar and prediction exactly where your thumbs are.

macOS gives you the whole system
On the Mac there is no keyboard to replace — you already have a good one. So SprintText sits behind it, watching for triggers and offering a palette on demand.

The shortcuts, the Brain and the settings are the same thing on both platforms. Only the way you reach them differs.

About the Mac app.
When will the Mac app be available?
We are not giving a date we might miss. It is in development; the availability section on the home page is updated as things ship.
Will it need accessibility permissions?
System-wide text expansion on macOS requires the app to be allowed to observe and post keyboard events, which macOS gates behind an explicit permission you grant in System Settings. It will be requested when you first turn expansion on, with an explanation of what it is for.
Will it be included in Pro?
The plan is for one SprintText Pro subscription to cover your iPhone, iPad and Mac rather than charging per platform. The pricing page will state the final terms before anything is charged.
